Boracay Whale Shark Tour FAQ

Can I join if I cannot swim well?

Three boatmen accompany each boat. Tell them before entering the water if you cannot swim well or need assistance. Life vests and snorkeling equipment are provided. Ask the operator beforehand if you have specific assistance needs; crew support does not remove the need to follow safety instructions.

How long is the whale shark activity?

Allow approximately 30 minutes for the boat activity: 5–10 minutes of boat travel and about 20 minutes of watching. Transfers, port procedures and waiting time are additional.

Is the experience on Boracay Island?

No. It is in Libertad, Antique, on Panay Island. Guests starting on Boracay cross to Caticlan and continue by road. Read the travel guide for the route.

Do I pay a deposit?

No deposit is required to submit a booking request. Payment is on tour day. A submitted request needs operator confirmation before you rely on it as a confirmed departure.

What is the booking deadline?

For a tour tomorrow, book before 3:00 PM today in Philippine time (Asia/Manila). After that deadline, the earliest selectable date is the following day. Advance booking is required for scheduled departures.

What documents should I bring?

Bring your hotel voucher and a valid Philippine ID or passport on tour day. The operator may collect the full passenger list before tickets are prepared. Use the name and guest details requested in the booking form.

Does the transfer package include my E-trike?

No. Your trip to the 7-Eleven meeting point at Cagban Port is paid separately. The estimated E-trike fare from your hotel to Cagban 7-Eleven is approximately ₱150; confirm the fare with the driver. The package includes the scheduled Caticlan–Libertad road transfers and Boracay–Caticlan boat fare in both directions.

What if weather stops the tour?

If the operator cancels because conditions prevent the tour from operating, you pay nothing. Weather on Boracay Island may differ from weather in Libertad. Please check with the operator before departure.

Are sightings guaranteed, and what is the refund policy?

Sightings are not guaranteed. Under the published policy, there is no refund solely for no sighting after an operated tour, and missed or late arrivals are not refundable. Read the homepage terms before booking and ask about anything unclear.

How do I ask a question or check a reply?

Use Contact Us to enter your name, subject and message. Keep the inquiry reference and private access code shown after submission. You need both to check the operator’s reply. Inquiry replies are checked on the website; this does not promise automatic email delivery.
